Marcelly Joyce Mello Williams

Economist, Educator, Yoga Instructor, Writer, Content Manager & Mystic Dancer

Marcelly (1988) was born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil. A city that is home to more than 13 million people. The biggest concrete jungle of all the Americas, where being “productive” is a must. Following the trend, she graduated in Economics and worked for many years at many different businesses. But she always felt attracted by the unknown, the mystical, the exotic and she knew that as soon as she could, she would fly away to wherever life would take her.

When it finally happened, it turned out to be Berlin, the coolest city in Europe. Marcelly went to stay, and besides all the challenges, she did. For 2 personal ‘sabbatical’ years she dedicated herself to break through old patterns, to find out who she really was, and what was her actual purpose in life.

She then studied the German language, met and produced with a lot of crazy artists, played around with different expressions like drawing, painting, photography, learned how to hula hoop, hanged around on aerial silks and pole danced, studied Buddhism, learned how to meditate, studied Tarot Cards, got introduced to Yoga and Tribal Fusion Belly Dance, among many other experiences, including meeting her soulmate, Scott.

When back to Brazil in 2017, Marcelly continued her path deepening her studies in Yoga, Dance and Education. After an intense 500h Yoga Teacher Training, she founded her 1st Yoga studio, the COGU Collective and dove into teaching Yoga and the English language for Brazilians. Some time later, she founds the Ayurvelas, a 100% handmade natural cosmetic line.

Since 2019 Marcelly lives and experiences life in Florida, USA, where she continues with her studies in Odissi (Indian Classical Temple Dance-Drama), Hatha Yoga and Middle Eastern Dances among other projects, exploring and changing the status quo of things.

What is the next project she is going to come up with?
